SINDICATO DE MONTADORES É O PRIMEIRO A DIVULGAR SEUS VENCEDORES

Não que os resultados do Eddie sirvam de parâmetro para o Oscar na categoria de montagem, mas é curioso ver como eles costumam eleger de forma diferente seus melhores do ano. Mesmo contando com duas categorias para cinema, Drama e Comédia ou Musical, a edição parece ser avaliada de forma distinta.

Pra se ter uma idéia, das últimas cinco edições, a Academia coincidiu apenas duas vezes o vencedor do Eddie.

Enfim, se as vitórias de Dunkirk e Eu, Tonya não significam muita coisa pras estatísticas do Oscar (por enquanto, minha aposta vai pra Dunkirk por ser um filme de guerra e que Lee Smith está em sua terceira indicação sem vitória), a vitória de Viva: A Vida é uma Festa aqui já praticamente sacramenta o Oscar de Animação para a Pixar.

Já a vitória de Jane não ajudou em nada, porque o filme sequer foi indicado para a categoria de Documentário. Aliás, curiosamente, nenhum dos indicados ao Eddie está na lista final do Oscar, algo muito raro de acontecer.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 E A FORMA DA ÁGUA FORTALECEM SUAS CAMPANHAS

Indicados ao Oscar de Direção de Arte (Production Design), Blade Runner 2049 e A Forma da Água, foram os grandes vencedores do prêmio do sindicato de Diretores de Arte. O primeiro na categoria de Filme de Fantasia e o segundo de Filme de Época como já era esperado. Sem surpresas, ambos são as grandes apostas da categoria no Oscar. E as estatísticas estão bem favoráveis para o ADG: 4 acertos nos últimos cinco anos. Nada mau.

A única indicada que poderia tirar a estatueta de um dos dois seria Sarah Greenwood. O problema é que ela concorre consigo mesma por A Bela e a Fera e O Destino de uma Nação, o que certamente dividirá seus votos. Por outro lado, ela conta agora com seis indicações e nenhuma vitória e, claro, é uma mulher.

Já o prêmio de Filme Contemporâneo ficou com Logan, que está mais pra um filme futurista, mas tem seus méritos por apresentar um bom cenário árido e desolador para um Wolverine velho.
