MINISSÉRIE DA HBO ACUMULOU 26 INDICAÇÕES

A 72ª edição do prêmio televisivo anunciou as produções que mais se destacaram na última temporada. Embora a HBO tenha a série com mais indicações, ‘Watchmen’, foi a Netflix que acumulou maior número de indicações neste ano: 160. A HBO vem logo atrás com 107.

Pra quem não se lembra, no Oscar deste ano, a Netflix também foi a recordista de indicações com 24, mas saiu apenas com 2 Oscars: Atriz Coadjuvante para Laura Dern em História de um Casamento, e Documentário para American Factory. O Irlandês foi a maior aposta, mas saiu de mãos vazias da cerimônia. Nesse cenário, o Emmy pode servir como uma redenção da Netflix.

Enquanto na ala de Série Dramática, Succession e Ozark lideram com 18 indicações cada, em Série de Comédia, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel conquistou 20 indicações. Uma das grandes surpresas foram as 15 indicações para The Mandalorian, série spin off de Star Wars do Disney Plus.

Pelas categorias de atuação, é incrível o número de atores que já brilharam nos cinemas e ganharam Oscar na lista como Cate Blanchett (Mrs. America), Meryl Streep (Big Little Lies), Jeremy Irons (Watchmen), Michael Douglas (The Kominsy Method) e as recentes Olivia Colman (The Crown), Regina King (Watchmen) e Laura Dern (Big Little Lies). Na verdade, essa migração é bastante compreensível, já que os produtores de cinema estão cada vez mais ignorando ou pagando menos para atores mais velhos e mulheres.

Vale ressaltar que houve um novo recorde de atores negros indicados. Das 102 vagas de atuação, 35 delas foram preenchidas por esses profissionais como Billy Porter, Zendaya, Regina King e Sterling K. Brown.

A cerimônia de premiação está agendada para o dia 20 de Setembro, e contará com Jimmy Kimmel como host, contudo ainda não foi definido o esquema para abrigar tantas celebridades num único espaço em plena pandemia.
